Buddy Guy was born on July 30, 1936 in Lettsworth, Louisiana. He learned to play guitar on a two string diddley bow which he made. In the early \'50s he began performing with bands in Baton Rouge and then moved to Chicago in 1957, where he still remains. Known as an inspiration to Jimi Hendrix, Angus Young, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and countless guitarists, Guy is considered an important exponent of Chicago blues. Known for his showmanship, playing his guitar with drumsticks, or strolling into the audience while playing. Buddy was ranked 13th in Rolling Stone magazine\'s list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".
